I have collected some data that how many public holidays do other countries award to their citizens besides Nepal. When we analyze these holidays record, what we find in the context of Nepalis that: the Government of Nepal offers maximum number of public holidays. It’s the maximum number of public holidays offered in the whole world. And also Nepalis one of the poorest country in the whole world. We are dishonored by a Driver or Cooley of our neighbor country.   My aim is not to hurt anyone but are these holidays are really required for us? The total numbers of holidays are thirty six and among which twenty five holidays are the religious holidays of mostly Hindus and Buddhists. InIndia where the majority of people are Hindus (more than 70 crores), there are only thirteen religious holidays. Also,India constitutes many hundreds of ethnic groups and many sub groups of Hindus. InNepal where the population of majority Hindus are 1.5 crores, are offered maximum holidays. I can only conclude that its just the laziness of people and government that they do not want to work and rather enjoy holidays. And the result is that we are always counted in the poorest one and the beggars.

These holidays are offered by Central Government for all its citizens. For many countries, there are some holidays offered from State Government too for the specified people.

I would say your study isnt sufficient.. Most of the countries have a 2 day weekend including USA, Australia , Japan, etc. Country like Australia has one whole month holiday in the month of August.. Even in India , there are several extra holidays which are different according to the States... You have only considered Public holidays, you should also consider Annual leaves...
Lets take example of Japan, they have 2 day weekend . So a year they have around 2*52= 104 weekends plus 16 days publics holiday equals 120days. Its same in public as well as private companies... Whereas in Nepal we have 52 days weekend + 38 days public holidays , altogether only 90 days. Where government offices have extra .5 day holiday in friday.. Ther have altogether 90+.5*52=117 Days...
